Head Coach Randy McPherson

Coach Randy McPherson has assembled a resume that in many ways rivals any in the country in 23 seasons as a head coach. McPherson came to Lowndes after six seasons the Head Coach of the Madison County Cowboys in Florida's 2A classification where he posted an astounding 71-9 record (.888) and won a State Championship in 2001, his final season in Florida. Since his arrival at Lowndes High the Vikings have amassed a record of 181-46 (.797) and won the 2004, 2005, and 2007 State Championships in Georgia’s largest classification. During the 2010 regular season McPherson set the record for most wins by a coach at Lowndes with 96, breaking a record set over 13 seasons before the end of his ninth with the school. Coach McPherson currently has a total career record of 252-55 (.821) with four State Titles and 13 District/Region Titles across two states and the Viking’s program seems poised to remain a power for years to come under his guidance.
